Bryan D. Well it added to the weight but it still swings relatively fast from where I placed it. You can always adjust it to your liking as well. I just printed the label and will stop by the post office on my lunch.

Bryan D. Essentially it depends on the tape placement, the tape on the sides is for stability and to expand the sweet spot on the paddle, the little piece at the top is for power. If you feel it’s too strong you can add more tape near the throat which will noticeably slow the paddle down but help with control. The all around edge guard is just to protect the paddle but it also adds to the overall paddle weight.
