Gearbox GX2 Integra XL

Had this paddle for approx. 3 months and played with it about 10-15 times. It hit's exceptionally well with both power and control. I always use edge guards. I currently have a leather overgrip as well as lead weight on both sides widening the sweet spot (easily removable). Some minor cosmetic blemishes which is expected, but has no effect on performance. This paddle hits with precision, but also with a lot of pop when needed. It's a top tier paddle for serious players.

Colin Hey Sonny, The paddle just arrived and it looks great. I just wanted to check if you have used it in any sanctioned tournaments and if it is legal or I need to make any changes to it?

SonnyD Colin, that paddle is fully legal and sanctioned. I tend to put lead tape on the lower side edges to increase twist rate and expand the sweet spot. Sometimes i add a little weight to the butt of the handle to increase swing velocity. Modified or not either way it's a great paddle and it comes down to personal choice, style of play and whether you like to experiment or not. I used that paddle to win gold in a sanctioned tournament. It took me awhile to decide to sell it, but felt having such a quality paddle as a backup was wasting it's potential. It will play well for you enjoy it.
